Gather '26 - Student Edition

Gather '26 – Student Edition is GAABS virtual event series for students and early-career professionals, delivered as a set of one-hour sessions across 19 October to 13 November 2026. Each session pairs you with a GAABS host, who opens the session, introduces you, moderates Q&A, and closes with takeaways and where to find the recording.

GAABS Student members are FREE to attend!

Attendance is expected to draw students, recent graduates, and early-career practitioners from across the GAABS network, primarily Europe and North America; sessions are recorded so students in other time zones can catch up.

WEBINAR - Sanchayan Banerjee

NUDGE+: A step beyond the nudge?

What if the most powerful intervention isn't a better nudge, but a better-informed citizen?

For years, behavioural science has focused on how policymakers can shape choices. NUDGE+, a new book by Drs. Sanchayan Banerjee and Peter John presents a new twist that pushes past the traditional nudge.

Join GAABS on 29 October as we host Dr. Sanchayan Banerjee to introduce practitioners to NUDGE+, a new framework that combines behavioural insights with reflection, deliberation, and citizen participation.

Drawing on evidence from his latest research and book, Nudge+: Think Before You Nudge, Banerjee will be our guest for a special webinar that will explore how public policy can move beyond influencing behaviour toward building agency, trust, and lasting change.

Because the future of behavioural public policy isn't just about changing people's decisions. It's about helping people shape them.

GAABS AGM 2026

Thank you to everyone who joined us for our 2026 Annual General Meeting. We shared an update on the past year, discussed GAABS’s priorities for the year ahead, and considered some important changes to our Constitution and membership.

The AGM minutes and recording will be circulated to members, together with the new Constitution, following the meeting.

We are grateful to our members for their continued engagement, ideas and support as we look ahead to the next chapter for GAABS.

WEBINAR - Cass Sunstein

Why do people abandon applications, miss opportunities, or struggle to access services that are designed to help them?

Often, the problem isn't motivation, it's sludge: unnecessary friction, excessive paperwork, confusing processes, or avoidable delays that make it harder for people to achieve their goals.

Learn what renowned behavioural scientist Cass Sunstein recommends to help identify and eliminate the friction that undermines decision-making, efficiency and user experience in all of our settings.
